Lane closure on SR-44 in Lake County due to brush fire, downed power lines

SR-44 westbound shut down near Royal Trails Road

LAKE COUNTY, Fla. – Westbound State Road 44 was shut down between Eustis and DeLand early Sunday due to a large brush fire and downed power lines, according to the Lake County Sheriff’s Office.

The lane was closed near Royal Trails Road, the sheriff’s office said at 6:20 a.m. on social media.

The sheriff’s office said emergency personnel were already at the scene to resolve the issues, adding drivers should plan accordingly.
