On the offensive side of the ball, widely respected offensive coordinator Buster Faulkner left to join the staff of Jon Sumrall at Florida in the same capacity, and took some additional members of the Yellow Jackets staff with him, they also lost offensive line coach Geep Wade to the Nebraska offensive line job and had to hire a new defensive coordinator in Jason Semore after Blake Gideon left to return to the Texas staff.
Eubanks spent one season in his role after coaching the safeties and nicks at Georgia Southern for two seasons. A veteran coach with multiple stops working in the secondary, Eubanks has previous coaching stops at Arkansas, Samford (FCS – AL), Georgia State, and Liberty as well.
Now Eubanks is set to add an NFL stop, according to reports today.
Eubanks is expected to join Jeff Hafley’s staff with the Miami Dolphins, according to multiple reports today.
On3 adds that Eubanks’ role with the franchise will be as an assistant special teams coordinator.
In Miami, Eubanks will learn under veteran special teams coordinator Chris Tabor, who has previously experience working with Hafley with the Browns. Tabor is a former head coach at the NAIA level at Culver-Stockton (NAIA – MO) and spent last season as the special teams coordinator with the Bills.
