The Florida State Seminoles are focused on the 2027 recruiting cycle, and they held their final Junior Day of the year on Saturday. They hosted numerous targets for the event, including multiple flip targets. Perhaps the best of the bunch was Kelsey Adams, a four-star offensive tackle committed to the Georgia Bulldogs.
While it will be tough to flip him from the in-state program, the Seminoles are giving it a shot, and getting him back on campus was a positive sign. The 6-foot-5, 260-pounder has not visited Tallahassee since September of 2024, the same month they offered him a scholarship.
FSU head coach Mike Norvell is helping offensive line coach Herb Hand try to flip Adams, and he told Warchant’s Matt LaSerre that he has a good relationship with Norvell.
“It’s good with him,” he said. “You could tell he’s a man of his word — more like a family guy — so it’s pretty good.”
Adams is ranked as the No. 52 overall player and No. 7 offensive tackle in the Rivals industry ranking. He is also the No. 5 player from Georgia and is someone Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs desperately want to hold onto.
Hand has done a great job in the transfer portal since joining FSU’s coaching staff, but has struggled to land elite high school linemen. Landing someone like Adams would go a long way in changing that and building up the future of the room.
