Christianson will oversee kitchen operations and has already started finalizing the breakfast menu that will include comfort foods like biscuits with corned beef hash gravy or sausage gravy, chicken and waffles, and pancake tacos (stuffed with eggs and toppings).
There will also be a wide variety of omelets, eggs Benedicts, and heartier plates such as pork chops, plus weekend specials like steak and eggs.
Former Roo Roo’s Diner patrons will also notice familiar items on the lunch menu named after the couple’s children, such as the Roo Roo Reuben and Michael’s Chicken Tenders.
Other dishes to expect from Dads’ Kitchen and Co. include club sandwiches, shrimp baskets with homemade fries, salads, and specialty burgers, like the Central Burger, piled high with grilled onions, mushrooms, thick-cut bacon, and cheese.
Espresso drinks and teas will also be available, and the couple plans to eventually obtain a beer and wine license to offer mimosas and other brunch-friendly beverages.
