BOYS BOWLING

District 11/LCAC Championships

Mariner won two titles Monday at Lightning Strikes lanes in Fort Myers, taking both the Lee County Athletic Conference and District A-11 championships.

The district title brings with it a trip to the FHSAA state bowling championships.

There are no regionals in Florida high school bowling. Each district in the one-classification sport sends two teams to state.

The state tournament is Oct. 28-30 at Boardwalk Bowl Entertainment Center in Orlando.

Fort Myers took second place, also earning a trip to Orlando.
