Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort experienced rare cold weather this weekend, with temperatures on Sunday dropping below freezing. Water features throughout the parks froze over, creating icicles.

Walt Disney World guests shared images across social media of frozen fountains and misters. TikTok user @miss.bz posted a video of icicles on the sign and surrounding rockwork for The Seas With Nemo & Friends in EPCOT.

There were many cold moments to document in EPCOT. Instagram user @candac3mari3 shared video of the misters in World Discovery covered in ice. Chunks of ice had even broken off and fallen to the ground.

X user @DisBeforeAfter posted pictures of the fountain outside Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure with water frozen mid-spray. @DisBeforeAfter also shared video of a flood of water apparently from a broken pipe that burst due to the cold.

The tiki misters at Adventureland in Magic Kingdom were also struggling. Instagram user @dreamandamouse shared video from a friend of the totems with “snot icicles.”
Universal Orlando Freeze

Over at Universal Islands of Adventure, Seuss Landing ride One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish had icicles dripping from its fish ride vehicles, according to a video from Instagram user @senseipawz.
The cold weather will continue, with a predicted low of 31°F on Monday evening. A freeze warning will be in effect for Central Florida from 11 p.m. on Monday to 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning. Outdoor attractions may be unavailable and more ice may be possible.
