TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Has Punxsutawney Phil met his match in the capital city?
The Tallahassee Museum had its first ‘Tallagator Day’ on Monday.
Instead of groundhogs, they call on their resident gators to predict if we’ll have an early spring.
The gators stayed at the bottom of their pool today.
According to Russell Daws, president and CEO of the Tallahassee Museum, that means six more weeks of winter.
“I think they’re saying it’s cold and they’re not coming out,” one of the museum staff said. “So unfortunately it looks like, according to the tallagators, we’ve got six more weeks of winter.”
