HOBE SOUND, Fla. (CBS12) — Tuesday night, residents of Martin County have an opportunity to learn more about a proposed interchange project connecting I-95 and the Turnpike.
The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) has unveiled plans for the project which comes with a hefty price tag of over $447 million and could take years to complete.

Monday night, at a virtual meeting the community learned additional details about the proposed improvements. The project would connect the turnpike to I-95 near Southeast Bridge Road, west of Hobe Sound. Notably, there will be no changes to the existing I-95 and Bridge Road interchange. The plan includes widening the turnpike and constructing a new direct connection ramp.
The meeting will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Indian River State College Wolf High-Tech Center in Stuart.
