MARTIN COUNTY, Fla. (WOWT) – An Omaha man is facing charges after two missing Florida girls were found in Georgia over the weekend.
Hser Mu Lah Say, 19, of Omaha, was arrested Sunday on charges that include two counts of kidnapping.
In a news conference Monday, the Martin County Sheriff’s Office said the arrest followed an investigation that began Saturday night in Florida with the report of the missing children.
MCSO says the girls are 12 and 15. They allege the man drove from Omaha to Florida to pick the girls up and planned to take them across state lines.
Family members identified Say as a suspect, saying the girls had been communicating with him on a gaming app called “Roblox,” as well as on social media.
The Georgia State Patrol reports stopping a car with Say and the girls inside early Sunday morning and arresting him.
Authorities said the vehicle was on its way back to Omaha and the girls were found safe.
