JFRD crews responding to brush fire behind Westside home (WJXT)

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Jacksonville Fire and Rescue was on the scene of a brush fire on the city’s Westside Tuesday afternoon.

The scene is near the intersection of Falkland Road East & Lothmore Road.

A SnapJAX user posted a video that showed a billow of smoke coming from the fire.

As of 2:15 p.m., JFRD did not have an estimate on the size of the fire, which it described as active.

It has requested assistance from the Division of Forestry.
