A second Bibimbox Korean Kitchen & Wings is planned at 8221 Southside Blvd., Unit 11, in Deerwood Station.
The city is reviewing permits to demolish and build-out a 1,787-square-foot interior space at an estimated cost of $10,000 for demolition and $100,000 for build-out. The contractor is June Ye LLC.

The original Bibimbox Jacksonville restaurant is at 4463 Deerwood Lake Parkway, about 3 miles from the proposed location. The new one is at northeast Southside and Baymeadows Road, southwest of Jacksonville Country Day School.
Bibimbox also has a location in Columbia, South Carolina, according to its website.Â
The Bibimbox menu is based on bibimbap, a rice dish served with vegetables, a protein and seasoned oil. Traditionally, it is served with a fried egg. Proteins include chicken, beef, pork belly, tofu and shrimp. The dishes sell for $10.99 to $12.99.
Bibimbox also serves chicken wings dressed with a soy garlic sauce or a hot sauce, plus noodles and tteokbokki, a rice and fish cake in a sweet and spicy sauce.
