Price: $16 millionĀ

This 10th-floor penthouse atop the newly completed Indigo building in the Pier Sixty-Six Residences complex is among the highest-priced and largest condos on the market in Fort Lauderdale.

Penthouse 3 offers 180-degree panoramic views, a private elevator, a bar and a pair of private plunge pools on the east and west sides of its 2,150-square-foot wraparound terrace. Only two units in the city are priced higher: a $22 million penthouse at the St. Regis Resort & Residences Bahia Mar and a nearly $20 million listing in the Four Seasons Fort Lauderdale Beach Residences, according to listings on Realtor.com.Ā Ā

ā€œYou have views of both sunrises and sunsets, and you’re looking down on the marina,ā€ said Amy Ballon, director of sales for Pier Sixty-Six. This five-bedroom unit also has open views of the Intracoastal Waterway.

ā€œEvery room has a view of the water, with ocean views both to the north and south,ā€ she said.

The redeveloped 32-acre Pier Sixty-Six marina and resort complex, which is off the 17th Street Causeway Bridge, offers a 325-room hotel and four condo buildings with a total of 88 new luxury units, Ballon said. The new complex also includes restaurants, retail outlets and offices.

Tavistock Development Company has completed a $1 billion renovation and redo of the Intracoastal Waterway property, retaining the iconic spire-topped Pier Sixty-Six tower from the 1960s, including the well-known 17th-floor Pier Top lounge with its rotating views of Fort Lauderdale and the Atlantic Ocean.Ā

The Pier Sixty-Six marina was initially built as a fuel dock and gas station in 1957 by Phillips 66 Petroleum, according to the Pier Sixty-Six Residences website. It evolved in 1959 to include a 100-berth marina, a restaurant and a ā€œWaterway Wonderlandā€ motel. The existing 17-story motel opened in 1965.

The marina now offers 164 slips that can handle anything from 40-foot boats to 400-foot superyachts, according to a news release. In Fort Lauderdale, it’s the closest marina to the Atlantic Ocean, with no fixed bridges in the way.

This combined unit takes up half of the 10th floor of the Indigo. The building’s other penthouse, which sold for $14.5 million in September, takes up the other half, Ballon said.

Architectural details include open-plan living spaces, floor-to-ceiling windows throughout, tile floors and 10-foot ceilings.

The kitchen features Wolf and Sub-Zero appliances, a walk-in pantry and two islands with Cristallo natural stone countertops, according to the listing.

The primary bedroom suite offers a bedroom with a western exposure, a walk-in closet, an ensuite with a freestanding soaking tub and a walk-in shower with dual shower heads, and a versatile bonus space, Ballon said. ā€œWe’re envisioning it as a private sauna, a fitness studio or a personalized sanctuary.ā€
