TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Bank of America donated $55,000 to Second Harvest of the Big Bend Tuesday, according to a press release.
The bank designated $25,000 of the grant towards supporting Second Harvest’s operations and $30,000 as a Food Insecurity Grant, the release wrote.
The grant is part of the bank’s $250 million national commitment over the next five years to address hunger and basic needs for families nationwide, per the statement.

“This investment builds on the company’s long-standing support in this area, as it currently provides annual philanthropic funding to more than 1200 organizations that focus on combatting hunger and other related needs,” the statement read.
The bank’s Chief People Officer Sheri Bronstein said this new commitment “builds on decades of giving, volunteering and partnership.”
