The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office said the man suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man involved in a crash on St. Johns Bluff Road Tuesday night was shot while following after another driver allegedly involved in the crash, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO Sgt. Mitlyng said officers responded to the 1700 block of St. Johns Bluff Road South in reference to the shooting around 9 p.m.
Upon arrival, Mitlyng said officers located the victim, who was suffering from a gunshot wound to his abdomen. He was reportedly taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
After the shooting, JSO said the suspect left the area.
Mitlyng said detectives canvassed the area for surveillance video and witnesses. The identities of the individuals involved were not released.
