The official Jeopardy! quiz night at Voodoo

If, like us, you enjoy a good game night, then the BOGO apps special comes with perfect timing. Voodoo hosts free Trivia Night every Wednesday at 7 pm, led by DJ Robin. In addition to half-off apps and a full bar with cocktails, craft beer, wine, and mocktails, trivia participants can also win prizes and giveaways throughout the night. There are no losers in this kind of trivia night. Though that won’t stop us from trying to win.

Meanwhile, Voodoo has also introduced Jeopardy! Bar League every Thursday at 7: 30 pm. The Jeopardy!-themed quiz show battle is “The official bar trivia experience from America’s Favorite Quiz Show.” In other words, this is the real deal Jeopardy!, and you can have the most affordable dinner in town between rounds. It’s the best kind of Daily Double.

St. Pete’s best nacho platter

As for the apps themselves, you can’t go wrong. The smoked-then-fried wings have earned near-legend status in downtown, and those flats and drums are more than enough to keep people coming back for more. However, we do want to recommend a personal favorite at Voodoo: the pulled pork nachos.

We are big believers in the idea that nachos should be wider, not taller. Spread the toppings out evenly, make sure every chip is loaded with goodness, and prevent sogginess by leaving those poor chips at the bottom of the pile. This is an ethos that Voodoo follows, and it makes for an A+ nacho experience. That’s not to mention that the corn tortilla chips are fried in-house, giving them that extra satisfying freshness and crunch.

If you’re more of a potato-fiend (and we respect that approach) the hand-cut truffle fries are an outstanding choice. They’re shareable with the whole table, but it’s also a big enough basket that you could make a salty meal of it on your own.

Meanwhile, Voodoo Brewing also just happens to be one of our favorite hangout spots in St. Pete. There’s tons of space, so you know your crew will always find a spot. There are huge big screens lining the bar and the walls, so you can catch any game from any seat. And there’s pinball, pool and other bar games if trivia night isn’t your jam.

To redeem the BOGO app special, just mention that you read about the deal on I Love the Burg. Visit Voodoo Brewing Co. seven days a week for lunch, dinner and drinks, and follow them on Instagram to see the latest.
