TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS12) — A sweeping FDLE investigation that used surveillance, wiretaps, and multiple search warrants has resulted in major prison sentences for two convicted cocaine traffickers: 27 years for Delmetrice Rogers and 11 years plus 4 years of probation for Lasonya Savage.

Attorney General James Uthmeier announced the sentences on Wednesday, noting that the case demonstrated how streetlevel dealing can escalate into highvolume trafficking when left unchecked. “That cycle ends in Florida,” Uthmeier said, crediting Senior Assistant Statewide Prosecutor Guillermo Vallejo and law enforcement partners for the outcome.

FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass said the years-long operation reflected the strength of Florida’s interagency approach. “Our agents and our partners put in years of work to ensure these dangerous traffickers are taken off our streets,” Glass said.

Tallahassee Police Chief Lawrence Revell echoed that coordination was key. “This case is a clear example of what can be accomplished when federal, state, and local partners work together toward a common goal,” Revell said.

Rogers and Savage were convicted on Nov. 20, 2025, following a weeklong jury trial. Rogers had prior drug convictions, including offenses within 1,000 feet of a school or church.
