Sapphic dating in Tampa Bay can seem harder than just swimming to the Isle of Lesbos.

Thankfully, there’s no shortage of community-building events and queer-inclusive spaces. Whether you’re looking to U-Haul or want a safe, inclusive Galentine’s space, you’ve got options.

Cherry Bomb hosts a Valentine’s Mixer on Sunday in St. Pete. The night includes colored bracelets to signal what you’re looking for, cupids delivering notes from secret admirers, crafting, live music from DJ Aural Pleaser and Venezuelan food from Carúpano Kitchen. $10. 18+.

The Wet Spot hosts a “Lesbian Lick & Flick” every first Monday. This month, DJ Chemical Lex will spin before and after the 2005 lesbian rom-com “Imagine Me & You” plays on the screen above the outdoor pool. No cover. And on the other side of Cocktail…

Disco Tits, The Ball’s weekly Sapphic stoplight party, is Valentine’s themed on Friday, Feb. 13. The bar also hosts a Sweetheart’s Soiree that whole weekend with a Valentine’s food and drink menu and all-gender GoGo dancers (though it isn’t strictly Sapphic). No cover.

Sun City Sapphics throws a “Villain Era” mixer on Friday, Feb. 13 in Tampa. The dress code suggestion includes “Leather, corsets, sharp silhouettes, dark glam, statement boots, chains, red lipstick, slick hair. Think femme fatales, final bosses, and ‘I did it and I’d do it again’ energy,” per the event description. Give what you can.

Her Way’s Luv Her Galentine’s R&B Party on Saturday, Feb. 28 in Tampa includes drink specials and music from DJ Donnie Luv and DJ KP, hosted by Studs Don’t Cheat & She She. $20 & up.

Pitch in to help make the Tampa Bay Journalism Project a success.
