TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV/ Florida Capital Bureau) – Two convicted north Florida drug dealers will spend a combined 38 years in prison.
Attorney General James Uthmeier announced on Wednesday that two people were convicted of trafficking cocaine across the state.
More on crime in our area:
Delmetrice Rogers and Lasonya Savage were arrested in 2021 after Tallahassee police executed search warrants as part of the larger effort to fight drugs across Florida, according to Uthmeier.
“We’re a big state, our population’s growing, capital is flowing in like never before,” Uthmeier said. “Those trends typically lead to more crime; bad people, evil people, they chase money. But not in Florida because we set the stage.”
Rogers was sentenced to 27 years in prison, while Savage will spend 11 years in prison.
