A “domestic-related shooting” in broad daylight ended with an innocent bystander hospitalized and the suspect in custody, according to the Orlando Police Department.The shooting happened near John Young Parkway and Vision Boulevard, near the Orange County jail. One car appeared to be covered in bullet holes.Witnesses said the police response was rapid.”They basically walked themselves into the jail,” Francis said.Another witness, Terri Von Achen, who works nearby, said she heard gunshots moments before multiple vehicles rushed into the area.”I heard two bangs and two cars pulled in really quick — a truck and a car,” she said. “Next thing I know, it was 40 to 50 police cars from everywhere.”Parts of busy John Young Parkway were temporarily shut down as officers searched for evidence. People waiting to be released from jail told reporters they experienced significant delays due to the investigation.Police confirmed the suspect was taken into custody without further incident. No additional suspects are being sought. The investigation remains ongoing.
