ORLANDO, Fla. – A cold front continues moving across Central Florida on Thursday, bringing a period of steady showers before much colder air settles in overnight.
THURSDAY
Rain will be widespread through the late morning and early afternoon, with chances at 50% across the area. While the rain is welcome, totals will be light and accumulations at less than a quarter-inch.
Cloud cover and the passing front will keep temperatures below normal, with highs staying in the upper 50s before cooling quickly into the evening.

As the front moves through, northwest winds will increase to 10–15 mph, with gusts up to 25–30 mph, ushering in a much colder and drier air mass.
FRIDAY
Skies clear as high pressure builds in, allowing temperatures to drop into the 30s across the area. Due to near-freezing temperatures northwest of I-4, a freeze warning is in effect for Marion County.
Wind chills will be the bigger concern. Many areas will feel like the mid-20s to low 30s late Thursday into early Friday, prompting a cold weather advisory until 9 a.m.

WEEKEND
Highs remain cool Friday, warming slightly into the mid-60s to low 70s Saturday and Sunday.
Overnight lows dip into the 40s, with some upper 30s possible inland Saturday night.

NEXT WEEK
High pressure remains in control into next week, keeping rain chances near zero.
Temperatures gradually warm into the low 70s by Monday and near 80 by the end of the week.
