Historical Museum sets miniatures exhibit
SEMINOLE — “Jane Blake’s Birthday Book,” an exhibition of original miniature paintings and additional artwork by Jane Blake, is now on display at the Seminole Historical Museum.
The exhibition includes a video of the history of each artwork submitted by 90 artists.
Step back in Seminole’s pioneer history and view the train, agriculture, and fishing exhibits.
The museum is open Thursdays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It is located at Seminole City Park, 7464 Ridge Road.
Rotary Students of the Month honored for January
SEMINOLE — Students from area schools were honored at the Rotary Club of Seminole’s Jan. 21 luncheon as Students of the Month for January.
Honors went to
• Tenley Darras, Bauder Elementary School
• Tyler Ostrander, Orange Grove Elementary School
• Diana Rizo-Padilla, Seminole Elementary School
• Maniyah Dulin, Seminole High School
In coordination with school administrators, students are selected based on their community involvement and scholastic achievement. The honor is awarded to elementary students in the fifth grade and a high school senior.
Seminole student makes Georgia Southern fall 2025 President’s List
STATESBORO, Ga. — David Archer of Seminole has been named to the fall 2025 President’s List at Georgia Southern University.
To be eligible for the President’s List, a student must have at least a 4.0 grade point average and carry a minimum of 12 hours for the semester.

Woman’s Club says thanks
The Seminole Junior Woman’s Club thanks the community for donations to its “Share Our Spirit” food drive.
The donations allowed the club to provide 48 families with non-perishable food items, books, special treats, and gift cards to purchase fresh food during the school break when food is not available for children through their school’s program.
The club appreciates all our local businesses who hosted collection boxes and all who donated individually.
Recreation Department to host food truck rally
SEMINOLE — The Seminole Recreation Department will host a food truck rally on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 3-8 p.m. at the Seminole Recreation Center, 9100 113th St. N.
This outdoor community event will feature more than 25 food trucks serving up everything from juicy burgers and pizza to seafood, sandwiches, Mediterranean favorites, and delicious desserts.
Live entertainment will be provided by Bad Habit.
A friendly cornhole tournament will start at 3:30 p.m. following a practice session at 2:30 p.m. Cost is $20 a team. Prizes will be given for first and second place. Online sign-up is required.
