ST. LUCIE COUNTY — Here’s a sneak peek at some of the massive economic-development projects on the horizon for 2026.

Costco

Costco Wholesale depot is a $149 million, 1.7 million square-foot campus expected to complete in 2026. The campus, notably, plans to be 100% solar powered from 22,000 solar panels.

The facilities are planned to serve Costco’s retail stores throughout Florida — such as the Costco store that opened in Stuart — and employ 370 workers at an average wage of $55,350.

Inkas

Inkas, a multinational armored-vehicle manufacturer, is investing more than $38 million to establish a 190,000-square-foot facility in Fort Pierce, its first in the U.S.

The company plans to employ at least 294 people at an average wage of more than $53,000.

LactaLogics

LactaLogics, a human-milk processing and distribution company, plans to open its $92 million facility on U.S. 1 in Port St. Lucie by March.

Monhark Pharmaceuticals

Monhark Pharmaceuticals, headquartered in Fort Pierce, manufactures various topical creams and other products in a 12,800-square-foot facility. The company is planning to invest $2 million to expand its production by the first half of 2026.

The company is planning to hire 11 workers at an average wage of more than $53,000.

Port St. Lucie Sports Club

Port St. Lucie Sports Club is eyeing a kickoff for its first professional team for the 2027 United Soccer League season.

The club anticipates having 52 full-time employees in team jobs with average salaries of more than $59,000, in addition to 180 other employees.

Pruitt Commerce Center

Pruitt Commerce Center, which could play a major role in establishing a Kings Highway jobs corridor in Fort Pierce, plans to build 1.6 million square feet of light-industrial space spread across 13 buildings.
