Albizu University, a private, nonprofit institution of higher education known worldwide for its multicultural post-graduate higher education in psychology and other human services fields, is proud to announce the launch of four groundbreaking undergraduate programs with classes beginning in January 2026. These new programs combine Albizu’s six-decade legacy in psychology and human behavior with forward-thinking innovation
Fully designed to meet the current evolving needs of South Florida’s workforce, the programs can be completed in four years or less. Students are required to complete 120 credits to graduate. The university offers support services and other resources to its students, such as individualized point of contact from point of application to graduation (Student Success Coaches per program of study), tutoring, opportunities to participate in intercollegiate athletics (Men’s & Women’s Soccer, Women’s Volleyball, Softball, Men’s & Women’s Cross Country & Track and Field, etc.), robust career services connecting graduates with workforce opportunities, and student support services.
“These are not just new degrees, they are strategic pathways that blend science, technology, and cultural intelligence to prepare students for emerging careers,” said Dr. Yianni Vassiliou, Chancellor of Albizu’s Miami Campus. “Our programs are human-centered, science-based, and forward-looking — an evolution of Albizu’s legacy and a reflection of where the workforce is heading.”
Designed in collaboration with employers and workforce boards, Albizu’s new undergraduate programs are:
Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Sports Psychology, Technology, and Performance Optimization
This new program goes beyond traditional sports studies by combining psychology, exercise science, and emerging technologies to prepare students for the evolving demands of athletes and performance professionals. In addition to physical training, today’s athletes need support for mental resilience, recovery, and data-driven performance strategies. In this program, students will explore the psychology of motivation and focus, master technologies such as wearable devices and real-time monitoring systems, and apply advanced tools like artificial intelligence and biomechanics to optimize performance and well-being. This program is delivered primarily on campus, with opportunities for hands-on experiences in labs, clinics, and professional settings. It is designed for graduates who aim to work with professional athletes, coach teams, lead wellness initiatives, or develop new technologies for sports performance. Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Behavioral Business and Innovation Technologies
This non-traditional business degree combines behavioral science, business skills, and technology to prepare students for tomorrow’s leadership challenges. Ideal for students who are passionate about making an impact in business, healthcare, technology or entrepreneurship, the program teaches them strategic thinking, people skills and technological expertise. Students will delve deep into exploring the psychology behind decision-making and mastering tools like artificial intelligence, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Students will also gain hands-on experience through internships and a capstone project. With classes available on campus or online, students who graduate from this program can pursue careers in business analysis, HR management, marketing strategy, organizational development, data analytics, and cybersecurity. Bachelor of Science (B.S) in Behavioral Intelligence and Analytics
Specifically designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills to analyze human behavior, leverage data-driven insights, and enhance public safety and criminal justice operations, this interdisciplinary program integrates behavioral science, intelligence analysis, predictive analytics, and public safety strategies to prepare graduates for careers in law enforcement, homeland security, intelligence agencies, emergency management, cybersecurity, and policy analysis. An internship placement is a required component of this program, and all students must complete a minimum of 30 semester credit hours in residence at Albizu University to be eligible for graduation. This residency requirement ensures that students receive sufficient academic instruction and mentorship within the university’s learning environment. The required credit hours must include successful completion of both the capstone course and the internship experience, which are integral components of the program’s emphasis on applied learning and real-world business practice. Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Language and Behavioral Disorders
Combining foundational knowledge in general education, in-depth study of human behavior and communication disorders and applied skills in clinical and research settings, this interdisciplinary program provides students with a foundation in both speech-language pathology (SLP) and applied behavior analysis (ABA). It is designed for students who wish to pursue careers or post-graduate degrees in communication sciences, behavioral analysis, and psychology. Through its comprehensive interdisciplinary curriculum, students will gain knowledge and skills necessary to support individuals with communication and behavioral challenges. This program is offered on campus and can be completed in four years. Students transferring from a two-year accredited institution may transfer up to 60 credits or up to 90 credits from a four-year institution. Students will also have to complete a Capstone/Internship in their area of interest (SLP or ABA). Graduates can go on to seek gainful employment as case managers, behavioral technicians at hospitals, child life specialists, board certified associate behavior analysts, or speech-language pathology assistants. Equally important, Albizu University remains the most affordable private non-profit institution in South Florida, with undergraduate tuition that is lower than many public universities for out-of-state and international students. Unlike public institutions whose non-resident tuition nearly quadruples, Albizu maintains a flat tuition rate, making quality education accessible to all students regardless of residency status.
“We’re committed to access and affordability,” added Dr. Vassiliou. “Albizu’s programs give students the opportunity to pursue a meaningful, future-focused education without financial barriers.”
