TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – With the New Year in the rear view mirror and Valentines Day right around the corner, there are dozens of adoptable dogs who are ready to help you celebrate every holiday – and every other day – in 2026!
Furry Friday is a collaboration between WCTV and the Tallahassee Animal Service Center designed to get dogs out of their kennels and into the spotlight in hopes of helping them find fur-ever homes, faster!
Here are the dogs we are featuring this week:
MEET WILEY

He literally jumps for joy when he gets out of his kennel and he’s proof that first impressions aren’t always lasting ones.
Wiley is a charmer on the leash and he loves to lean in for a snuggle and a scratch.
He can turn any walk into a sniff-ari and is perfectly content soaking up all those sights, sounds and smells right by your side.
Wiley has been at the shelter for months, please visit him this weekend and make his doggie dreams of a fur-ever family come true!

Pete is a spirited boy who is ready to take life by the tail!(WCTV)

He’s a spirited boy who is ready to grab life by the tail!
Pete is confident and curious and is looking for an owner who can match his zest for life and perhaps reign it in just a little with some treat motivated training!
This handsome handful shows off his brindle coat each and every day.
Pete is friendly and fun and ready to join you for a romp or a run!

MEET LADY
Lady is looking for a family to help her relax and become the confident, loving dog she was always meant to be!(WCTV)
Meet Lady!
This two year old is looking to blow the pop stand that is the shelter and settle in with a calm, cool, collected family.
Lady was surrendered by her owner and is looking for a safe, loving place to land, preferably one with lots of treats!
Lady likes to keep it moving and enjoys all kinds of excitement from bird watching to squirrel chasing.
Lady is really looking for a family who can help her to relax and become the confident, loving dog she was always meant to be!

MEET AND GREET
You can meet these dogs and dozens more awaiting adoption at the Tallahassee Animal Service Center. It’s located across from Tom Brown Park at 1125 Easterwood Drive in Tallahassee.
You can walk through the kennels Wednesday through Sunday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and can also visit by appointment the rest of the week from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m.
