ORLANDO, Fla. — Temperatures are expected to climb back into the 70s along the I-4 corridor from Orlando to Sanford and Daytona Beach starting Monday, but the chill in the air will linger through the weekend here in Central Florida.

There was even frost covering the grass in Daytona Beach near the Atlantic shoreline early this morning. Temps should climb into the 60s tday and tomorrow with overnight lows in the low 40s.

Here is the latest forecast from the National Weather Service in Melbourne for Central Florida through Thursday:

This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 62. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Tonight: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. West southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

Saturday: Sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Saturday Night: Clear, with a low around 41. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 68. East northeast wind around 5 mph. Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 45. East northeast wind around 5 mph, becoming calm in the evening.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 73. West wind around 5 mph. Monday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 48. West northwest wind around 5 mph.

Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 76. Northwest wind around 5 mph. Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 53. East wind around 5 mph, becoming calm in the evening.

Wednesday: Sunny, with a high near 78. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Wednesday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 54. West wind around 5 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 79. West wind around 5 mph.
