Murder suspect returned after fleeing to Florida

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – The North Charleston Police Department has returned a suspect in an Oct. 2025 shooting case back to North Charleston.

21-year-old Khuronn While was taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center on Friday after his arrest by the U.S. Marshals Task Force in Florida.

Officers say that White is connected to a deadly shooting on Alton Street, which occurred on Oct. 13. White supposedly fled to Florida after the incident to avoid arrest.

White was arrested in November and fought extradition until Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed the extradition warrant, allowing him to return to the Lowcountry.

White has been charged with murder, possession of a firearm during a violent crime, and unlawful conduct toward a child.
