The 23-year-old Finley can now be claimed by any team before the 2pm deadline on Saturday. As a reminder, the waiver chart is based on standings, so the Vancouver Canucks would have first crack at adding Finley, if they so to choose.

The Missouri native was enjoying is first true taste at the NHL level, appearing in 22 games for the Lightning, scoring two goals and adding one assist, for three points. Most of Finley’s career has spent at the AHL level, where he’s posted 40 goals and 44 assists for 84 points, in 164 career games.

Finley’s a product of the Western Hockey League, where he suited up for Spokane and Winnipeg throughout his junior career, before landing as a second-round pick for the Lightning at the 2020 NHL Entry draft.

If Finley clears waivers, he’ll report to the American Hockey League’s Syracuse Crunch.

Finley has played 22 games and has 3 points.

FOW% is 48.5, which is supposed to be his calling card.

Just hasn’t been working out. Also, after the break, we expect some of these injured players on the Bolts to return from IR. https://t.co/w5V9TtHUtd
