UCF graduation guide: Spring 2026

As graduation season for the spring semester at UCF quickly approaches, there are several important dates, deadlines and information that graduating seniors need to know.

Students should talk to the adviser or academic success coach at their college to understand the specific academic requirements needed for graduation.

Ceremony and venue information

This semester will have graduation ceremonies split between May 8 and May 9. 

Graduates should arrive at the Addition Financial Arena an hour and a half before their ceremony begins. Doors will be opened to guests an hour before the ceremony begins. The approximate duration of each ceremony is two hours.

Graduates should park in Garage D and must stay through the duration of the ceremony.

Regalia Information

Graduates are required to wear UCF regalia available for rent only through the UCF Bookstore, according to the UCF Commencement website.

In-store cap and gown ordering will take place at the UCF Bookstore in the John T. Washington Center on select dates.

Feb. 9-11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.March 9-11, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

Caps and gowns can also be ordered online through the Herff Jones website and must be placed before March 20 to avoid a late fee. April 3 is the last day to order regalia.

Ticket Information

Graduates who filed an intent to graduate form before March 16 and ordered regalia on time will receive their ceremony tickets during the designated dates/times for guest ticket and reader card pick up.

Guest tickets are to be picked up along with reader cards by each graduate at the main campus.

April 27 to April 30 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at UCF Fairwinds Alumni Center or Barnes and Noble at UCF on East Plaza Drive.May 1 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Barnes and Noble at UCF on East Plaza Drive.

A photo ID is required upon pickup. If a graduate is unable to claim their guest tickets, they can have someone else pick them up if the designated person is provided with a letter authorizing UCF to release the tickets to them.

The letter must include the name of the designated pick-up person, along with the graduate’s full name, UCF ID, academic college, major and signature on the letter. The designated third party must also present a copy of the student’s photo ID along with the authorization letter, according to the UCF Commencement website.

Guests who are unable to make it to the ceremony can watch it via livestream on YouTube.
