• I am ticked off at the writer (rider?) asserting that there’s nothing wrong with electric bikes. They must not use the Seminole Wekiva Trail like I do, where mostly kids are speeding, racing, weaving and popping wheelies despite signs that say “no motorized vehicles.” Moreover, they must be missing the news that more of these bikers are showing up in emergency rooms with injuries.
• It is wonderful that in the “free state of Florida” you are allowed to spread your germs as widely as you want, but the person who came to a dance class (at a wellness center!) with a respiratory illness ruined the experience for the rest of us who were mostly old enough that a respiratory illness could be deadly.
• I love-love-love Ollie’s closeout/buyout stores, but I wish their aisles were numbered so employees could tell you exactly where to look for what you can’t find.
• Apparently, Florida drivers do not realize how rude it is to tailgate. What’s more, all that accomplishes is annoying and angering the driver who is being tailgated. Angering the drivers you’re sharing the road with isn’t the smartest path. Stop it.
The flip side
• Thank you to my husband, Dan, for covering up many of our plants in our Florida Friendly garden. Most of the plants survived with the temperatures dropping into the 20s.
• Maximum kudos to Orlando Shakes for standing up to the modern-day morons who hide in their electronics. Our culture can use many, many more individuals and organizations that stand up to bigots of the last century.
