Apopka Police Officers found two people inside of a local business in Apopka on Friday night, the Apopka Police Department said.
The police department said officers responded to a call for service at 262 W. Michael Gladden Blvd at 8:55 p.m. when they discovered the two bodies inside of Griffin’s General Store.
Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances surrounding the deaths and are determining whether the incident involves a homicide or a possible murder-suicide, the Apopka Police Department said. The scene remains secured as investigators process evidence and work to determine exactly what occurred.
The Apopka Police Department said there is no known ongoing threat to the public, but officers will maintain an increased presence in the area as a precaution to support the investigation.
The identities of the two individuals is being withheld pending next-of-kin notification, the police department said.
