One last cold night before the warming trend takes over Tallahassee, the Big Bend and South Georgia

  • February 7, 2026

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCTV) – Get ready for one final chilly night before much milder conditions settle in for the rest of the week.

A cool breeze on Saturday

Sunny and breezy through the morning and early afternoon. North gusts up to 20 mph. These gusty winds will gradually weaken into Sunday as high pressure builds over the region.

If you’re heading out on the water, take note: A Small Craft Advisory remains in effect through this morning, and beachgoers should be aware of a high risk of rip currents through this evening.

Highs on Saturday will reach the upper 50s to low 60s, slightly cooler than yesterday.

Another freezing night

Clear skies and calm winds will allow temperatures to plummet, so if you have sensitive plants or pets, bring them inside. Tonight will be the coldest of the next several days. Temperatures are expected to drop to the upper 20s to low 30s.

Warming trend begins Sunday

The good news? Once we get past Sunday morning, temperatures climb. Sunday will be noticeably warmer with high pressure overhead, bringing pleasant conditions and sunshine. Highs in the upper 60s and light winds.

Mid-week chance for showers

A quiet start to your workweek as temperatures continue to warm. Highs in the 70s and lows in the 40s and 50s.

By Wednesday, a weakening weather system will bring isolated showers to the region. The rain totals will be low, so no significant help to the drought is anticipated.
