Our dear friend, Pastor Dennis Eastling, served the Key Biscayne Community Church as Pastor for nearly 15 years and his presence continues to be felt by all who knew him. He was more than a Pastor, he was a true friend, a man of kindness, humor and faith that touched countless lives.

Each of his Sunday services at Key Biscayne Community Church began the same way . . . with a joke. His sense of humor set the tone, warming hearts and filling the room with laughter before worship began. He preached with the Holy Spirit in his heart and his messages were sincere, Spirit-led and encouraging, always reminding everyone of God’s grace and love.

Pastor Dennis had a remarkable gift for making people feel loved and valued, both inside and outside the church. He did and will always care for his friends as family, showing loyalty and devotion in all he did. He was deeply involved in the Key Biscayne community in many ways including running the local farmer’s market, making it a place of connection and fellowship. He also shared his creativity by teaching flower arranging classes which brought joy and beauty to many.

Pastor Dennis has been blessed with the purchase of his dream home, a beautiful log cabin in the Georgia mountains. Though he is no longer on the Key, he remains close in spirit and in our memories. His light will always be in our hearts and his legacy will live on through the many lives he has touched and the faith he shared.

Thanks to Pastor Dennis for all that he has done for the Key Biscayne Community Church and our Key Biscayne community.

With much appreciation and love,

Victoria Jackson

Susie Scipioni Remembers . . .

What can I tell you about Pastor Denny that you don’t already know? First and foremost, he was a gentleman and a man of integrity. Always with a smile that was genuine and loving. There were so many things that he contributed to make our little church a wonderful place to worship.

His potlucks were famous. And his culinary skills delicious – something we all looked forward to. His countless baptisms were so heartfelt. Even if you were not a member of the church, he never said no to anyone. His “Celebrations of Life” were beautiful and always captured the spirit of the one who had passed. His Easter Sunrise Services were beyond compare. The message was always soulfully uplifting and the music filled with spirit. His hugs were genuine as were his prayers for anyone who needed them.

So we wish him the same peace, joy and happiness on his new adventure that he gave to us for so many years . . . and then some.

In God’s Love,

Susie Scipioni
