Donna Aycock Meigs
OBITUARY
Beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, Donna Faye Aycock Meigs was called home to her Lord on Tuesday, February 3, 2026. Born in 1934 in Leighton, Alabama, to Claude and Lyla Aycock, Donna was the older sister of Helen Brewer. She graduated from Howard College, now Samford University, and worked as a medical technologist in Birmingham, where she met her husband of 63 years, Dr. Robert Sawyer Meigs. After moving to Fort Lauderdale in the late 1960s with their children, Susan and Robert, they built a rich and rewarding life together. With Bob, Donna was a longtime member of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church, and a patron of dozens of charitable organizations. In addition to enjoying her granddaughters, Sabine Fontenote and Kiersten Meigs, Donna had a heart for animals, traveled the world, adored Viennese waltzes, had impeccable style, and made the best fruitcake.
