Florida State is looking for more blue-chip talent in its 2027 recruiting class. They have their eyes set on four-star wide receiver Julius Jones out of St. Thomas Aquinas High School.
The 5-foot-11, 175-pounder has reached a new milestone in terms of his recruitment. Jones is down to eight schools, and FSU made the cut, per On3’s Hayes Fawcett. Miami, Florida, Texas, Oregon, LSU, Michigan, and Notre Dame make up the other seven programs.
Jones is the nation’s No. 70 overall player in the Rivals industry rankings. He’s also listed as the No. 11 wide receiver in the country and the No. 7 prospect in the state of Florida.
As a junior in 2025, Jones put up some nice numbers. He went on to haul in 58 receptions for 876 yards. Jones averaged 15.1 yards per reception and scored 14 touchdowns as well.
FSU has several blue-chip prospects committed in their 2027 class, but they don’t have any receivers yet. If the Seminoles want to make Jones the first, they need to get him on campus soon, especially since he hasn’t been since March of 2025.
