OXFORD, Ohio— The Miami University hockey team returned to the national rankings today, checking in at No. 20 in both the USCHO.com poll and USA Hockey polls. Miami is 17-9-2 this season (8-8-2 in NCHC play) and currently sits 21st in the NCAA Percentage Index (NPI), which is used to select the 16-team NCAA Tournament field.

 

The RedHawks split with No. 4 Western Michigan last weekend in Oxford, posting a 3-2 overtime win Friday before falling in the series finale to snap their five-game winning streak. The victory on Friday was the Red and White’s first against a top-five opponent since December 2022.

 

Miami travels to No. 3 North Dakota this weekend for a series in Grand Forks. Puck drop on Friday, Feb. 13 is set for 8:07 p.m. ET.
