February 9, 2026 – Since its inception in 2021, the Community Assistance and Life Liason (CALL) program has successfully intervened on 20,000 non-violent police emergencies involving mental health, youth behavior, substance use and other quality-of-life concerns. Due to its efficacy, other cities have replicated the program, and now St. Pete is officially declaring Feb. 2 as a day of recognition honoring CALL.
