Two adults, two children and two dogs were displaced after a Feb. 4 house fire in Port St. Lucie, according to St. Lucie County Fire District officials.

Fire crews responded to a call for a residential structure fire about 8 a.m. in the 100 block of Southeast Crosspoint Drive, said Division Chief Daniel Mikels. It’s located south of Crosstown Parkway and east of Airoso Boulevard.

They arrived and found heavy smoke and fire coming from a single-story home, Mikels said.

Crews contained the spread of the fire with an aggressive attack and pulled two dogs from the building, he said.

The American Red Cross was called to help with two adults and two children, as well as the two dogs, Mikels said, but no one was injured.

The cause of the fire remained under investigation, he said.
