New Florida State Seminoles running back coach Kam Martin has hit the ground running since joining Mike Norvell’s coaching staff, landing two tailbacks out of the transfer portal and visiting numerous of FSU’s top targets.
One of their top targets is Brayden Tyson, a four-star prospect from Snellville, Georgia and one of the best running back recruits in the entire country. He has visited FSU numerous times since they offered him a scholarship in January of 2024, and he has now locked in an official visit with the Seminoles.
According to Chris Nee of Noles247, he will be in Tallahassee on June 12 for his official. They have plenty of competition for Tyson, who will take an official visit with the Miami Hurricanes on June 5. The 6-foot, 235-pounder has over 30 scholarship offers and is the son of former Georgia Bulldogs defensive lineman DeAngelo Tyson.
Tyson is ranked as the No. 219 overall player and No. 17 running back in the 247Sports composite. He is also the No. 27 recruit from Georgia.
He had a strong junior season at Brockwood High School, rushing for 1,292 yards and 16 touchdowns on 163 carries. While it was a great performance, it had nothing on his sophomore campaign. He finished his breakout season with 2,123 yards and 26 touchdowns, averaging 10.2 yards per carry.
