Orlando’s most hated piece of architecture got its few seconds of television fame this week.
The Majesty Building — dubbed the “I-4 Eyesore” by Orlandoans and disgusted passersby — was the subject of its very own question on Jeopardy! Monday night.
“Unfinished after 20 years, an office building in Seminole County, Florida became known as the ‘I-4’ this unlovely sight,” the clue read.
It was included in a category titled “Starts and Ends with the Same Vowel.”
The 300,000-square-foot, 18-story glass-panel building has long remained a site of incomplete intentions in Altamonte Springs. It’s been under construction by the religious broadcaster Associated Christian Television System, owner of SuperChannel 55, since 2001.
It is the tallest building in Seminole County. There is no planned date of completion.
