Central Florida Valentine’s Day weather: Romance or rain?

  • February 10, 2026

ORLANDO, Fla. – We’ve been closely watching trends surrounding a storm system that could unveil itself on Friday the 13th, and then roll across the south through Valentine’s Day.

I want to spend sometime talking distinctly about what we’ll likely see here for Saturday in Central Florida.

As we approach Saturday, a storm system is slated to develop out west and start pushing towards us Saturday and Sunday (Copyright 2026 by WKMG ClickOrlando – All rights reserved.)

While the data is still hazy when it comes to timing of impacts and how intense those impacts may or may not be, I actually have great news for your Saturday plans.

In the last 24 hours, computer models have all synced up with a later arrival time than what was previously highlighted when they first started to show the potential for a storm.

Had you asked me this past weekend, or end of last week when it is Central Florida could receive some rains, thunder, and lightning I’d have absolutely pointed towards late Saturday and through the day on Sunday.

Now we’ve managed to bump that window up to late Sunday and into the first half of Monday.

We’ll be at least 5-7 degrees above what the average temperature is this time of year on V-day (Copyright 2026 by WKMG ClickOrlando – All rights reserved.)

Valentine’s Day on its own actually looks splendid here in town. We will be on the warmer side, which could be a good thing for a lot of us. This means we won’t have to worry about dressing over our best date night or evening outfit for the sake of escaping the cold.

As this storm gets going it will drive our humidity up, so I’d honestly wear something comfy and almost loose fitting if you could. We all know it doesn’t take much to get the sweat going around these parts.

Maybe wear your best long-lasting cologne or perfume as well if you plan to spoil your partner amidst your special plans.

Here’s a look at hourly temps on Saturday. Definitely a bit on the steamy side (Copyright 2026 by WKMG ClickOrlando – All rights reserved.)

For the rest of us who may be skipping Valentine’s Day, regardless you should take advantage, get out, and have some fun! We’ll be topping out in the upper 70s and low 80s during the mid-afternoon. As the sun sets and the night begins, we’ll settle into the low 70s.

Again, that humidity will be on the rise, so it will indeed feel a touch warmer than what the thermometer may suggest.

Rain is ALMOST fully out of the question. I use caps here not to yell at you all, in fact thank you so much for taking the time to read this article! I just want to emphasize we will have some extra moisture in the air. We’ll also be on the warm, unstable side of the low pressure area as it begins to work its way towards us Friday night into Saturday morning.

So we can’t entirely rule out some very light rains and isolated showers during the second half of the day, especially along our east coast.

All-in-all, I’d give your Valentine’s Day forecast a solid 8/10. Could see some rain on the horizon, winds will be fairly tame, a muggy, but not too hot nor cold.
