WALTON COUNTY, Fla. — A 34-year-old Florida man was arrested for a road rage incident in Walton County where he pulled a gun on multiple people, according to the Walton County Sheriff’s office.
Blackie Alvarez of Bonifay is charged with:
two felony counts of false imprisonmenttwo felony counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weaponone felony count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felontwo counts of unlawful carry of a concealed weapondriving without a license
The incident happened on Sunday around 1 p.m. on Hwy 331 S near Sherwood Road.
Walton County deputies received a 911 call about a male pointing a firearm at them while traveling north.
Deputies quickly located the suspect vehicle. The driver, Alvarez, exited the vehicle, pulled a black handgun from his waistband and placed it on top of his car, according to the sheriff’s office.
“Further investigation revealed the victims were headed north on 331 S when Alvarez, driving a white Ford Explorer, began speeding and honking at them,” the sheriff’s office says in a release. “The victims told deputies Alvarez sped around them, came to a complete stop in front of their vehicle, took out a firearm, and pointed it at them.”
Alvarez refused to speak with deputies.
He also had an out-of-county warrant out of Bay County, Florida, for failure to pay child support.
Alvarez is being in Walton County Jail on $235,000 bond.
