Voodoo Doughnut, the beloved Portland-born shop known for its quirky and outlandish creations, is bringing its “good things come in pink boxes” motto to Miami! If you’ve ever waited in those around-the-block lines at any of their locations (or know someone who has), the hype is real.
Setting up shop in Wynwood, the new location will officially open on February 19th, treating the first 200 guests in line to a delightful surprise: a free Fate & Fortune Doughnut with a chance for 10 lucky winners to receive complimentary doughnuts for a year!
And the first 26 guests to make a purchase will receive a Voodoo Pink Gift Bag packed with merch and goodies to celebrate the brand’s 26th location.
For those unfamiliar, Voodoo Doughnut offers more than 30 kinds of handcrafted doughnuts, including a variety of vegan options. Standouts include the original Bacon Maple Bar, a raised bar with maple frosting and bacon, and Oh Captain, My Captain, topped with Cap’n Crunch. There’s also the pentagram-adorned Diablos Rex and Memphis Mafia, a mountain of fried dough piled with banana, cinnamon, chocolate and peanut butter drizzle.
For local fans only, the Wynwood shop will exclusively feature the Sublime Key Lime doughnut, a fan-voted flavor available through March 31st!

The brand was founded in 2003 when old friends and entertainment-oriented Portlanders Kenneth “Cat Daddy” Pogson and Tres Shannon shared a desire to fuse exceptional hospitality with an entrepreneurial venture. From research, they realized there was a scarcity of doughnut shops in Portland, and a month after the inauguration, quickly gained national media attention.
Beyond the sugary treats, the brand is bringing its community spirit to the 305 by partnering with NAMI Miami-Dade County, donating 20% of opening day proceeds to support mental health.
“We’re incredibly excited to open our first shop in Miami and become part of the Wynwood community,” said Celise Ellis, VP of Operations at Voodoo Doughnut.

Voodoo Doughnut can be found at 2401 NW 2nd Ave, Miami, FL 33127. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. on Thursday, February 19th.
Following opening day, the store will open daily for “almost 24 hours” from 6 a.m. to 3 a.m., satisfying sweet tooths at almost any time! You can see all flavors on their website so you can start planning which ones to stuff in one of their famous pink boxes.
