CLEVELAND– The Mid-American Conference announced its cross country runners of the week, and Miami’s Marisa Heil was recognized as the women’s runner of the week.
Heil, a freshman from Lancaster, Ohio, was the first of the Miami women to finish the 6k at the Pre-National Invitational with a personal best time of 20:33.5, placing 47th out of 339 competitors. Her time was 47.5 seconds quicker than her previous 6k personal best (set two weeks prior at the Joe Piane Invite).
The RedHawk cross country team competes again in Buffalo, N.Y. on Friday, Nov. 1 at the MAC Championships.
