CLEVELAND – The Miami RedHawks have been selected as favorites to win both the regular season crown and Mid-American Conference (MAC) Baseball Tournament in the 2026 Head Coaches Preseason Poll. Head coaches were not allowed to vote for themselves in the poll.
The RedHawks, who earned 114 points, received six first-place votes as well as four votes to win the conference tournament, which returns to Avon, Ohio at ForeFront Field on May 20-24 with the top six teams making the championship for the third straight year.
Kent State was picked to finish second with 111 points and received four first-place votes as well as a trio of votes to claim the tournament title. Ball State garnered a pair of first-place votes, finishing third with 107 points.
Toledo (86 points) and Bowling Green (83 points) rounded out the poll’s top five. The Rockets were picked twice to win the tournament crown, while the Falcons received one vote.
