Two men are facing charges in connection with a major drug trafficking bust in Miami Beach that ended with a large amount of narcotics seized, police said.
Ricardo Ramos, 34, and Remigio Romero, 52, were arrested Tuesday following an investigation that began in July 2025 with an anonymous tip about a man distributing methamphetamine in the North Beach area, Miami Beach Police officials said.

Ramos was identified as the primary suspect and detectives found he would move between residences to avoid law enforcement and use multiple locations to receive drugs and conduct transactions, officials said.
Detectives started making undercover drug purchases from Ramos, who conducted the transactions within 1,000 feet of Temple Menorah and multiple local schools, officials said.
A search warrant was executed and detectives found a large amount of drugs including:
Approximately 24 kilograms of 1,4-butanediol packaged in 500 mL bottles labeled as household cleaner
Approximately 256 grams of crystal methamphetamine
Approximately 236 grams (424 pills) of phenethylamine/MDMA (Ecstasy)
Approximately 28 grams of MDMA (crystal form)
Approximately 68 grams of 2-CB
Approximately 12 Xanax pills
Approximately 32 grams of cocaine (24 baggies)
Approximately 32 grams of ketamine
Approximately 10 grams of fresh cannabis
Ramos faces multiple charges related to drug trafficking and selling controlled substances, including selling them within 1,000 feet of a school.
Romero’s charges weren’t available.
“This case reflects months of coordinated investigative work and strong partnerships at the local and federal levels,” Miami Beach Police Chief Wayne Jones said in a statement. “It underscores our commitment to protecting our residents, children, and families, and to ensuring that those who attempt to distribute dangerous drugs near schools and houses of worship are held accountable. We also appreciate the community members who come forward with information that helps us keep Miami Beach safe.”
