On Wednesday morning, a plethora of Miami Hurricanes players were invited to the NFL combine. The premier showcase for draft eligible talent, the NFL Combine takes place in Indianapolis. NFL teams send multiple staffers to evaluate workouts, coach prospects, and interview potential additions to their rosters.
This year’s NFL Combine will be held from Thursday, February 26th to Monday, March 2nd. And, with the amount of Miami players invited, there will be something to watch every single day.
Here’s the list of Miami players who were invited to the Combine:
This is another year with double-digit combine invitees for the Canes. This is among the largest contingents from any school, and proof positive that Mario Cristobal and company have the talent on the team at an elite level.
Several of the Canes players are hot topics of conversation leading up to the draft. There’s been plenty of talk about Rueben Bain’s arm length measurement, but will that overshadow his truly destructive performance ability? Akheem Mesidor has elevated his status to near-1st round pick level (he’s been frequently mocked in the 1st round). Does he strengthen that? Will Francis Mauigoa cement his status as OT1 in this class? Can Keionte Scott go from day 2 (2nd-3rd round) consensus to potentially breaking into the 1st round? What will Carson Beck show? PLENTY of Canes talking points to consider at the draft combine.
Congratulations to the 10 Canes invited to the Combine. This is your moment. Go make that money!
