Wellness-driven café chain Pura Vida Miami will open its first Maryland location on Thursday, February 12. Our very own Mr. MoCo attended a pre-opening event and shared some of the experience in the video below.

The restaurant is located in the former Colada Shop space at 7993 Tuckerman Lane at Cabin John Village in Potomac. Guests order at the counter and food is brought to the table. The space features indoor seating along with an outdoor patio.

According to Pura Vida Miami, the company’s mission centers on establishing a standard of health and wellness by providing high-quality, clean ingredients that are often locally sourced. The menu is designed to accommodate a range of dietary needs, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options. The brand promotes the philosophy that “health is happiness,” aiming to make healthy eating an attainable and conscious part of everyday life while fostering a like-minded community.

Beyond the food, Pura Vida Miami is known for its inviting, aesthetically pleasing environments. Each location features a bright, airy, minimalist design with natural textures, greenery, and outdoor seating. The spaces are intended to feel like an extension of home, creating a welcoming setting where guests can gather, nourish themselves, and enjoy an elevated dining experience.
