Florida Christian has gone 6-1 against Hialeah Educational Academy recently and they’ll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Patriots will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on the Biggie at 8:00 p.m. Florida Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Hialeah Educational Academy will be coming in after a defeat.

Florida Christian barely beat Mater Lakes Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn’t the case this time around. The Patriots’ pitcher stepped up to hand the Bears a 10-0 shutout on Tuesday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Patriots needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Sebastian Blanco tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Sebastian Rodriguez was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That’s the most runs he has posted since back in February of 2025. Jesus Perez was another key player, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Florida Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .643. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mater Lakes Academy only posted an OBP of .167.

Meanwhile, Hialeah Educational Academy had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn’t the result they were hoping for. They fell just short of Mater Lakes Academy by a score of 7-5 on Monday. For those keeping track at home, that’s the closest loss the Biggie have suffered since February 27, 2025.

Hialeah Educational Academy also got a good showing from Derek Morales, who pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits.

On the hitting side, Daniel Vasquez made the most of his time in the batter’s box despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Joshua Ortiz, who went 1-for-3 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run.

Florida Christian skirted past Hialeah Educational Academy 3-2 in their previous meeting back in March of 2025. Do the Patriots have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Biggie turn the tables on them? We’ll have the answer soon enough.
