ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – A pedestrian has died following a late-night collision in St. Petersburg on Sunday. The St. Petersburg Police Department identified the victim as 61-year-old Larry Darnell Brown.
The incident took place shortly after 9 p.m. Brown was attempting to cross from the east to the west side of the 1700 block of 4th Street South. According to investigators, he was not within a marked crosswalk when he entered the roadway.

While crossing, Brown was struck by a white 2025 Kia K4 sedan traveling southbound. He was transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital with life-threatening injuries. Medical staff pronounced him dead early this morning, February 9.
The driver of the Kia was not injured and remained at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
