According to the report, the shooting happened on Jan. 26 at a room at the Belmont Inn at 553 Northeast 1st Avenue.
Dabdoub had been involved in a verbal altercation with the victim and armed himself with a firearm before he told the victim to leave the room at gunpoint, the report said.
When the victim returned for his property, Dabdoub pointed the gun at the victim and the victim’s mother “which elicited a reaction from the victim at which point the subject the[n] fatally shot the victim twice,” the report said.
The victim wasn’t identified in the report.
Dabdoub was interviewed by Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office detectives and released pending further investigation, which “produced evidence in contradiction to the subject’s interview statements given to investigators,” the report said.
Dabdoub was booked into jail, and expected in bond court on Thursday.
